Job summary

Sccsinternational is seeking a site-based senior commercial and contractual representative for an expansion of a rotary kiln electric furnace nickel smelter in Indonesia. The role requires independent operation on site, governance of EPC and major supply contracts, and interpretation of contract terms.

You will manage claims, changes, disputes avoidance and contractual risk while maintaining productive relations with the owner, EPC contractor, suppliers and Chinese organisations.

Job description

A site based contracts appointment on a project management consultancy commission for the expansion of an operating rotary kiln electric furnace nickel smelter in Indonesia. The posting makes the holder the consultancy's senior commercial and contractual representative on site, operating independently of both the owner and the engineering, procurement and construction contractor.

The brief is the management, administration, monitoring and interpretation of the EPC contract and the major supply contracts. It covers contract governance, commercial oversight, claims management, change management, dispute avoidance and contractual risk through execution, with the stated purpose of protecting the owner's contractual and commercial position while keeping working relations with the contractor, suppliers and the other parties.
