Job summary

PT Archetype Engineering and Industry Consultants seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-site construction team through all project phases. You will mentor staff, schedule activities, recruit team members, and manage performance while coordinating with contractors to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

You will verify design briefs, drawings, and specifications align with client objectives, and drive cost-efficient methods through supplier engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil/Mechanical/Engineering/Architect or Construction Management from reputable university.
• 8+ years experience on construction projects, including 5+ years leading construction teams.
• Advanced technical abilities in construction management and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction team including mentoring, scheduling, recruitment, and performance management.
• Direct construction phases from planning to site execution with contractor coordination and site management.
• Ensure project briefs, drawings, specs, and information meet client objectives.
• Coordinate with suppliers for cost-effective materials and methods.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and initiate corrective actions.
• Supervise onsite contractors and manage safety, quality, and resources.
• Prepare construction info for project reports and liaise with project manager.
• Monitor final accounts and obtain certificates for client payment.

Job description

Responsible for the management of the construction team including mentoring, scheduling their activities, recruitment and performance management of the team members.

Directing the construction team through all construction phases of a project including contractor coordination and all aspects of site management.

Check and ensure the project brief, all design briefs, drawings and specifications and all project relevant information are executed as per client's objectives.

Contact with Suppliers of Construction materials/equipment in order to be aware of the most efficient & cost-effective application and working methods.

Monitoring construction progress, quality and safety, and initiating action.

Supervise onsite contractor(s) for their safety, quality, equipment and maintenance of appropriate resourcing levels.

Preparing construction information for the project report, providing all relevant information to the project manager.

Monitoring the preparation of contractor's final accounts obtaining relevant certificates and submission to the client for payment.

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Civil/Mechanical/Engineering/Architect or Construction Management from reputable university.

8+ years experience working on construction projects including a minimum of 5 years experience managing construction teams.

Advanced technical abilities in construction management, with the ability to train and mentor others to develop further their skills in contractor management, safety, quality management, and site-based design management.

Advanced attention to detail, particularly in respect to contractual requirements, design/site drawings, quality of construction works and construction standard methods and basement knowledge.

Previous experience managing project teams in a multicultural environment

Advanced leadership skills, ensuring teams are well motivated, organized, able to provide clear direction and manage conflict.

Advanced client management skills, including demonstrable persuasiveness, negotiation skills and inter-personal skills.

Working knowledge of software used in project management including Microsoft Project, Primavera, Team Binder, Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Experienced in industrial is preferred.

Willing to be placed at project site
