Daemeter Consulting is an independent consulting firm specialising in sustainability across sectors such as forestry, agriculture, climate, and sustainable finance. The Communications Manager will play a central role in shaping and delivering communications strategies to advance Daemeter’s mission, engaging a wide range of Indonesian and international stakeholders through compelling messaging and consistent brand representation.

Purpose of the Role

Lead the communications function for a dynamic consulting firm focused on sustainability in Indonesia. Develop and implement strategies relevant to both Indonesian and international clients and stakeholders, including private sector, government, academia, partners, communities, and CSOs. This role manages the company’s reputation through effective internal and external communications, ensures consistent messaging, oversees brand guidelines, campaigns, and marketing materials, engages audiences, manages content quality, organizes events, handles crisis communications, and supports knowledge management to encourage best practices and staff engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communications strategies aligned with business objectives, including the creation and enforcement of brand guidelines.
• Lead and manage both internal and external communications, ensuring clear, compelling messaging tailored to diverse audiences across Indonesia and internationally.
• Plan, execute, and oversee multi-channel campaigns (web, social media, traditional media, and print), ensuring consistency in tone, style, and brand representation.
• Strategically engage with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, media, and sector influencers, to promote the company’s mission, vision, and services.
• Drive content creation—reports, press releases, website, social media, newsletters, and presentations—ensuring high quality, accuracy, and brand alignment.
• Ensure quality control of all outgoing communications and marketing materials, maintaining a strong, trustworthy brand image.
• Anticipate and manage crisis communications and reputation risks, developing and updating crisis playbooks and monitoring public sentiment.
• Support internal knowledge management initiatives to foster information sharing, staff engagement, and the development of best practices.
• Organise and promote internal and external events (webinars, workshops, conferences), including content development, logistics, and audience engagement strategies.
• Leverage AI-powered and other digital content tools to increase efficiency, monitor analytics, and optimise communications outputs.
• Coordinate and supervise other communications team members and external service providers to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
• Prepare regular analytics dashboards and reports to measure the effectiveness of communication activities, campaigns, and brand visibility.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, preferably in sustainability, environmental, or consulting sectors, with a proven portfolio of multi-platform campaigns for Indonesian and international audiences.
• Demonstrated excellence in strategic communications planning, stakeholder engagement, and content development.
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in both English and Indonesian; ability to tailor messages for varied audiences and channels.
• Experience with AI-powered content tools, digital analytics, and communications technology platforms.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor teams, coordinate with external vendors, and deliver projects to deadline and budget.
• Track record in event management, knowledge management, and crisis communications is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
• Familiarity with the sustainability sector in Indonesia and understanding of global trends and standards in ESG communications is an advantage.
