Job summary

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Jakarta Selatan is seeking a Commis I to join our hotels kitchen team. You will support senior chefs, prep ingredients, and help ensure tasty, visually appealing plates that meet our high standards.

The role requires basic kitchen experience, calm under pressure, teamwork, and adherence to safety and hygiene guidelines. You will learn Western or Chinese cuisine basics and contribute to a warm hospitality experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook or trainee in a 5-star hotel or high-standard restaurant.
• Basic knowledge of Western or Chinese cuisine.
• Ability to stay calm and solve problems under pressure.
• Comfortable working in hot, humid, and noisy kitchen environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen procedures and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Manage guest orders efficiently to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Oversee stations, execution, quality control, and inventory checks.
• Inspect and finalize plates to ensure quality and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and sanitary stations.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations and report needs to management.
