Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join its Western kitchen team in South Jakarta. You will be responsible for managing an assigned kitchen section, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the hotel’s standards for quality, taste, and hygiene.

• 1–2 years of experience in a Western kitchen or similar culinary environment.
• Culinary education or relevant professional training preferred.
• Knowledge of Western cooking techniques, ingredients, sauces, and plating.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and maintain high standards of hygiene.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook Western dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Manage the assigned kitchen section, including mise en place, preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, taste, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and surrounding areas.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Train and guide junior staff in the assigned section.
• Follow all kitchen procedures, policies, and health and safety requirements.
