Job summary

Astro Indonesia is seeking a Commercial Quality Associate to support vendor quality systems, PSA/Spec Book maintenance, data mapping, and issue resolution. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure product quality aligns with defined standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Agriculture or Food Technology and has 1-2 years in QA/QC, preferably in FMCG. Strong data skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Google Sheets are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in Quality, QA/QC, or related functions; FMCG, fresh, or frozen products preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality assessment, product specifications, and vendor quality processes; PSA/Spec Book is a plus.
• Proficient in data analysis and data mapping; able to organize and present data for decisions.
• Proficient in Google Sheets/Google Workspace and data tracking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining Product Specification Agreements (PSA) and Spec Books with proper documentation.
• Support vendor quality scoring, performance tracking, and data analysis for insights.

Job description

The Commercial Quality Associate supports the Commercial Quality team in maintaining vendor quality standards and ensuring compliance with agreed product specifications. This role will be involved in vendor and facility assessments, PSA and Spec Book development, vendor quality tracking, data analysis, and follow-up on quality issues.

The role requires strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and analytical skills to support the team in identifying quality gaps, resolving vendor issues, and maintaining accurate quality documentation and data.

Job Description

As our Astronaut, your missions are:

• Support vendor facility visits and quality assessments, including documenting findings and following up on improvement actions with vendors.
• Support the creation and maintenance of Product Specification Agreements (PSA) and Spec Books, ensuring product specifications, grading, sourcing/origin, and quality requirements are properly documented.
• Support vendor quality scoring, performance tracking, and data analysis, including mapping and preparing quality data to provide insights for the team.
• Assist in identifying and resolving vendor quality issues, including coordinating with relevant teams and supporting corrective actions or penalties for vendors that do not comply with agreed standards.
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to follow up on quality findings, improvement actions, and day-to-day quality issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking across the vendor quality process, including audit findings, vendor performance, corrective actions, and PSA/Spec Book records.

Minimum Qualifications

In order to launch the missions successfully, you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, or a related field, with a good understanding of product quality standards.
• 1-2 years of experience in Quality, QA/QC, or related functions. Experience in FMCG, fresh, or frozen products is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of quality assessment, product specifications, and vendor quality processes. Experience with PSA or Spec Book is a plus.
• Strong data analysis and data mapping skills, with the ability to organize, analyze, and present data to support decision-making.
• Proficient in Google Sheets/Google Workspace and comfortable working with documentation and data tracking.
• Fast-paced, responsive, detail-oriented, and able to make quick decisions and handle day-to-day problem solving.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with multiple internal teams and external vendors.
