Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead country-wide procurement activities for paints and coatings in Bekasi, Indonesia. You will drive the local sourcing strategy, engage with suppliers and sites, and manage a team to deliver cost and performance improvements.

You will coordinate with regional procurement, oversee tail-spend negotiations, and ensure supplier performance metrics are met while aligning with IBP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required; additional degree in Materials & Purchasing Management or International trade is preferred.
• Must have worked as People Manager in a procurement environment.
• Proven multi-year track record in Procurement and Supplier Management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, planning and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in English with good Indonesian language skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead country-wide procurement activities for paints and coatings.
• Drive local sourcing strategy and interface with suppliers and sites.
• Act as face of the organization for local suppliers and IBP processes.
• Negotiate tail spend and guide supplier collaboration projects.
• Ensure local suppliers meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
