PT. SUNSHINE FOOD INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Cluster Chef to oversee kitchen operations across multiple client sites in Indonesia. You will drive standardization, safety, and cost-efficiency while coaching kitchen teams and supporting menu development.
The role requires a diploma/bachelor’s in Culinary Arts or Hospitality, 5+ years in kitchen operations, and 2+ years in a supervisory or multi-unit capacity. Travel to various locations and out-of-town sites are expected.
The Cluster Chef is responsible for overseeing and managing kitchen operations across multiple client units, ensuring consistent food quality, safety, and operational excellence. This role drives standardization, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement while providing on-site coaching and troubleshooting to kitchen teams. The Cluster Chef also plays a key role in building strong client relationships, supporting menu development, and ensuring service delivery meets company standards and client expectations.
What you'll be doing
Manage kitchen operations across multiple client sites within the assigned cluster
Ensure food quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards (SOP & HACCP)
Monitor performance and implement improvements to drive operational excellence
Control food cost, manage inventory, and minimize waste
Support menu development and ensure standardization across all sites
Conduct regular kitchen audits and ensure operational readiness
Provide on-site coaching and troubleshooting for Unit Chefs and kitchen teams
Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, including recruitment and performance evaluation
Manage client interaction, maintain strong relationships, and ensure service excellence
Handle escalated issues and ensure timely resolution
Prepare performance reports and collaborate with internal teams
What we're looking for
Minimum Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in kitchen operations
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or multi-unit (cluster) role
Preferably experienced in B2B catering / healthcare / institutional food service
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (HACCP)
Proven experience in food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen operations
Strong leadership and people management skills
Good planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to work in a fast-paced and multi-site environment
Willing to travel frequently and be assigned to various locations, including out-of-town areas
