Job summary

Thales seeks an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure the health and performance of cloud infrastructure in Jakarta, Indonesia. You will manage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to improve automation and reliability.

Key tasks include monitoring, incident response, change planning, and maintaining runbooks. Fluency in English and experience in international settings are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure or sysadmin roles.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware Private Cloud and/or Public Cloud (GCP preferred).
• Good understanding of networking, backup, OS, and storage fundamentals.
• Familiar with monitoring, logging, and alerting in production environments.
• Experience in ITIL-driven environments (Incident, Change, Problem).
• Scripting for automation (Shell or PowerShell).
• Experience with Helm Chart and Ansible Roles.
• Containerization and orchestration experience.
• Reading Bash or Python scripts.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Run Operations & Incident Management for cloud infra.
• Troubleshoot OS, container, network, and storage issues.
• Act as Level 2 support for incidents and service requests.
• Monitor health, analyze logs, perform root-cause analysis (GCP, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Set up and tune alerts on Prometheus metrics.
• Participate in change planning, testing, and execution.
• Maintain documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to improve reliability and automation.
• Support transition of new apps into operations.
