Job summary

CLAY Bali, a new premium restaurant and lounge in Ubud, Bali, is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented Cleaner to join the team and uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the venue.

You will maintain dining areas, lounge spaces, back-of-house and restrooms, following hygiene and safety guidelines in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Reports to Restaurant Management.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cleaner or housekeeping preferred.
• Experience in hospitality is an advantage.
• Ability to follow cleaning checklists and standards.
• Physically able to perform cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Based in Bali or willing to work in Ubud, Bali.
• Basic English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all restaurant areas during the shift.
• Clean floors, walls, windows, doors, furniture and surfaces.
• Sanitize guest and staff restrooms.
• Maintain dining, lounge, corridors, stairs, and staff areas.
• Follow hygiene, sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to management.
• Assist with deep cleaning and pre-opening/post-closing shifts.

Job description

CLAY Bali is a new premium restaurant and lounge opening in Ubud. Our concept is inspired by the Silk Road, fire, earth, warm hospitality, tea, and long evenings around the table.

We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the restaurant.

Main Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of all restaurant areas throughout the working day.

Clean floors, walls, windows, doors, furniture, and other surfaces.

Clean and sanitize guest and staff restrooms.

Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, lounge areas, corridors, stairs, and staff areas.

Clean back-of-house and service areas according to the restaurant’s standards.

Remove waste and replace garbage bags regularly.

Ensure cleaning supplies are always available and properly stored.

Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.

Report damaged equipment, furniture, plumbing, or other maintenance issues to management.

Perform deep cleaning according to the established schedule.

Support the team with cleaning before opening and after closing.

Respond quickly when additional cleaning is required during restaurant operations.

Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.

Key Requirements

Previous experience as a Cleaner, Housekeeping Staff, or similar position is preferred.

Experience in restaurants, hotels, villas, or hospitality is an advantage.

Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.

High attention to detail.

Physically able to perform cleaning duties throughout the shift.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsible, disciplined, punctual, and honest.

Willing to follow restaurant procedures and cleaning checklists.

Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Basic English is an advantage.

Based in Bali or ready to work in Ubud.

Reporting Line

The Cleaner will report to the Restaurant Management / Operations Team and work closely with:

ready for guests at all times;

cleaned according to the restaurant’s standards;

properly maintained throughout the entire working day.
