Job summary

Taylor Thomson Whitting is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead design and delivery for high-rise and large-scale buildings in Indonesia. You will prepare analyses, reports, and specs, review junior work, and mentor team members.

You will coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with codes and safety, and support construction activities through inspections and document submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Proven experience in structural design and delivery of high-rise buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, data centres and other developments.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles and Indonesian (SNI) and/or international standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SPACE GASS, RAM Structural System, and/or RAPT.
• Experience in reinforced concrete and steel structural design; timber design is an advantage.
• Strong experience in structural analysis, design calculations, technical reporting, and preparation of engineering documentation.
• Professional certification or membership with HAKI or equivalent is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior engineers and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Prepare technical submissions and project deliverables.
• Support construction activities: RFIs, shop drawings, design changes, site inspections.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with regs, design codes, QA/QMS and safety.

Job description

Lead the structural design and delivery of projects including high-rise buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, data centres, and other building developments.

Prepare structural analysis, calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

Review and check engineering calculations, drawings, and documentation prepared by junior engineers and drafters.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Prepare technical submissions and other project-related deliverables as required.

Support construction activities by responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, assessing design changes, and conducting site inspections when required.

Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.

Project Delivery

Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage project schedules, deliverables, and priorities to meet client expectations and project deadlines.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, design standards, quality management systems, and workplace health and safety requirements.

Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the successful delivery and commercial performance of projects.

Who are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

5-8+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably within an engineering consultancy.

Proven experience in the structural design and delivery of high-rise buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, data centres, and other building developments.

Strong knowledge of structural design principles and relevant Indonesian (SNI) and/or international standards.

Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SPACE GASS, RAM Structural System, and/or RAPT.

Experience in reinforced concrete and steel structural design; timber design experience is an advantage.

Strong experience in structural analysis, design calculations, technical reporting, and preparation of engineering documentation.

Professional certification or membership with HAKI or an equivalent professional institution is highly regarded.

Ability to interpret and communicate information of a more complex nature.
