Job summary

PT Dua Delapan Resources seeks a seasoned Civil Engineer to lead mining civil works in South Jakarta. You will design roads, bridges, drainage, and facilities, and oversee geotechnical analyses and BOQ preparation.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in mining/infrastructure, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams on budgeting, schedules, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional civil engineering experience in mining/infrastructure.
• Proven design and construction experience for hauling roads, bridges, drainage, earthworks.
• Strong capability in quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and budgeting.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering, slope stability, soil mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering activities for mining operations and infrastructure.
• Prepare and review designs for roads, bridges, culverts, drainage, and mining facilities.
• Perform geotechnical analyses for road construction and earthworks.
• Prepare BOQ, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budgets (RAB).
• Develop technical specs, drawings, and construction methods.
• Monitor execution to ensure compliance with designs, specs, quality, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate with Mine Engineering, Operations, HSE, Procurement, contractors, and consultants.
• Review contractor proposals, submissions, progress, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and company requirements.

Job Description:

• Lead, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering activities related to mining operations and supporting infrastructure.


• Prepare and review engineering designs for main hauling roads, access roads, bridges, culverts, drainage systems, and other mining infrastructure.


• Prepare engineering designs for supporting facilities, including office buildings, mess/accommodation facilities, workshops, warehouses, and other civil structures.


• Perform and/or review geotechnical analyses relevant to road construction, slope stability, earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, and other civil works.


• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material quantity calculations, cost estimates, and project budgets (RAB) for civil construction works.


• Develop technical specifications, construction drawings, work methods, and engineering recommendations.


• Evaluate and optimize civil designs by considering constructability, safety, operational requirements, cost efficiency, and site conditions.


• Monitor and control the execution of civil construction works to ensure compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, budget, and project schedule.


• Provide technical solutions for civil and infrastructure issues arising during mining operations.


• Coordinate with Mine Engineering, Operation, HSE, Procurement, contractors, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.


• Review contractor proposals, technical submissions, progress, quantities, and civil work deliverables.


• Ensure that all civil engineering works comply with applicable engineering standards, company requirements, and relevant regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.


• Minimum 10 years of professional experience as a Civil Engineer, preferably within the mining, infrastructure, or heavy construction industry.


• Proven experience in the design and construction of mining hauling roads, bridges, drainage systems, earthworks, and supporting infrastructure.


• Strong capability in quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and project budgeting/RAB.


• Good understanding of geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, slope stability, foundation works, and earthwork management.


• Experienced in designing buildings and supporting facilities for mining operations.


• Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction methods, material specifications, and quality control.


• Able to review engineering drawings, technical calculations, and contractor submissions.


• Proficient in relevant engineering/design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other applicable civil engineering software.


• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.


• Able to work effectively in a mining site environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.


• Placement: Subsidiary of PT Dua Delapan Resources – South Jakarta.

Candidates with extensive hands‑on experience in mine infrastructure development and civil engineering projects in mining operations will be highly preferred.
