Alcon invites applicants for the Technician III, Chemical Production Operations (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) in Batam. This role focuses on manufacturing medical devices products or implantable lenses, handling chemicals, mixing compounds, and maintaining equipment in a GMP environment.

You will apply advanced technical skills, follow GMP/GXP guidelines, keep accurate records, and collaborate across functions to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Analyst, Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry is required.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 2–3 years of experience in medical/pharmaceutical industry preferred with chemistry lab exposure.
• Good laboratory practices (GLP) and GMP knowledge expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle production tasks for medical devices/implantable lenses.
• Work with chemicals and mix formulations.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Dispose of laboratory waste per procedures.
• Follow SOPs and maintain accurate records per GMP/GXP.
