Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Technician III to support production of medical devices and implantable lenses. The role focuses on handling chemicals, preparing formulations, and maintaining equipment while ensuring GMP compliance and accurate record-keeping.

The position requires a Chemistry-related Diploma, familiarity with laboratory practices, and potential 2–3 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates with strong chemistry knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Analyst, Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry.
• Fresh graduates welcome with good understanding of chemistry.
• Preferably 2–3 years in medical/pharmaceutical industry with exposure to chemistry lab or production floor.
• Strong understanding of good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to production of medical devices products or implantable lenses.
• Work with various chemicals and mix compound ingredients for formulations.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment including balances, homogenizers, chromatography column, and moisture analyzer.
• Dispose lab waste and reagents per procedure; maintain clean, safe lab environment.
• Follow SOPs to meet GMP and maintain accurate records; ensure GMP/GXP compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and cost optimization.
