A Restaurant Cashier role involving the handling of cash, card, QR, and other payment transactions, processing customer bills, operating the POS system, and managing financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Handle cash, card, QR, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently

Process customer bills and ensure all charges are correct before payment

Operate the POS system and ensure all transactions are properly recorded

Issue receipts and provide change accurately

Handle refunds, voids, discounts, promotions, and complimentary items according to company procedures

Maintain accurate cash handling and ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the end of each shift

Prepare and submit daily cashier reports and transaction summaries

Coordinate with the service, kitchen, and management teams regarding billing or payment issues

Assist customers with billing inquiries and resolve basic payment-related concerns professionally

Keep the cashier counter clean, organized, and professional at all times

Requirements

Previous experience as a Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, or similar role is preferred.

Experience working in a restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality environment is an advantage.

Good knowledge of POS systems and basic cash-handling procedures.

Strong numerical and basic calculation skills.

Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to communicate in English, especially for basic guest and payment-related interactions.

Honest, responsible, disciplined, and trustworthy.

Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
