About the role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Cashier & Service to join the team at Yema Kitchen Canggu, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional financial service and creating positive guest experiences at our checkout point. As a Cashier, you will be the final point of contact with our guests, responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service and Fnb that Yema Kitchen is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Process all cash and card transactions accurately and promptly using point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Handle guest payments, provide change, and issue receipts in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain accurate cash registers and reconcile daily cash drawers at the end of each shift
• Verify pricing and product details before completing transactions
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, products, and services with knowledge and courtesy
• Maintain a clean and organised checkout area that reflects the hotel's high standards
• Process refunds and exchanges according to hotel policies
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in transactions or payments
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
• Uphold security protocols and protect guest information and payment data

• Proven experience working as a Cashier or in a similar retail or hospitality role
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail with excellent accuracy in financial transactions
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining composure
• Honesty, integrity, and strong ethical standards when handling cash and sensitive information
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively during peak periods
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Indonesian or Mandarin are advantageous
• A positive attitude with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
