Job summary

PT SMART Tbk is seeking an experienced professional to provide operational, financial, and project oversight to the Head of HO Controller. The role focuses on Capex project controlling, cost management, and performance monitoring across subsidiaries, with feasibility study support and quarterly reporting.

Based at the Head Office in Jakarta and willing to travel to refineries/sites, you will drive governance improvements and ensure timely, accurate follow-up across all workstreams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputable university.
• Minimum 8 years of proven and relevant experience in Operations Controlling, Project Controlling, Procurement Controls, or related roles.
• Experience in plantation/oleochemical/infrastructure industries preferred.
• Strong analytical and risk identification skills.
• Ability to manage multiple reviews and travel to refineries/sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Capex project budgets and spending, timelines, and performance against plan; flag deviations early.
• Support feasibility studies and provide data/Documentation for BDSP Singapore team.
• Prepare Quarterly Capex Report including Project Benefit (Actual vs FS).
• Conduct Monthly subsidiary performance reviews and coordinate with internal/external parties for timely resolutions.
• Support procurement governance improvements and document reviews by HO Controller and teams.
• Build trust-based, objective relationships while maintaining professionalism.

Job description

This role provides operational, financial, and project oversight support to the Head of HO Controller across Capex Project Controlling, Control Project spending, OSM and MUP (subsidiary companies) performance monitoring, feasibility studies, and document review, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up across these workstreams.

Job Description:

• Perform Capex Project Controlling - monitor project budgets, control project spending, monitor timelines, and performance against plan, and flagging deviations early.
• Support Feasibility Studies for the BDSP Singapore (Spore) team, providing analysis, data, and documentation as required.
• Prepare the Quarterly Capex Report, including calculation of Project Benefit (Actual vs FS)
• Perform Monthly subsidiary companies Performance Review.
• Provide support for subsidiary companies operational issues, particularly those related to contracts, coordinating with relevant internal and external parties to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform document review for PAM HO (Head Office) and others as assigned and prior approved by the Head of HO Controller.
• Support continuous improvements in procurement governance, efficiency, and process discipline.
• Build effective, trust-based working relationships while maintaining professional objectivity.

Job Requirement :

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or Accounting from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 8 year(s) of proven and relevant experience in Operations Controlling, Project Controlling, Procurement Controls, or Compliance-related roles, preferably within the plantation, oleochemical, or infrastructure industry.
• Demonstrated ability to excel in Capex Project Controlling - monitor project budgets, control project spending, monitor timelines, and performance against plan, and flagging deviations early.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify risks and control gaps.
• High attention to detail with a structured and objective approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple reviews simultaneously.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey findings clearly and constructively.
• Willing to be based at Head Office, Jakarta, with readiness to travel to refineries / sites when required.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to evolving processes and systems (willing to learn new things).
• High level of curiosity and ownership.
• Strong analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
