Job summary

OSI Electronics is seeking a Procurement professional to lead sourcing of PCBA components and related items, while ensuring on-time deliveries and strong supplier performance in a high‑mix electronics environment.

You will negotiate terms, manage PRs/POs, and collaborate across QA, Engineering, and Production to support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and travel readiness are valued.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase PCBA components and wire harness items.
• Monitor deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and inventory receipt.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop local and overseas suppliers.
• Prepare PRs and POs and manage related documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, and service levels.
• Address shortages, delays, and quality issues in coordination with suppliers.
• Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and forecasts.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Monitor inventory to prevent overstock and shortages.
• Ensure materials comply with BOM, drawings, and specifications.
• Support supplier audits and compliance (RoHS, REACH).
• Collaborate with QA and Engineering to resolve NCRs and material quality issues.
• Prepare purchasing reports and supplier evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and company policies.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Engineering, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
• Support NPI materials sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase PCBA electronic components and wire harness such as ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, PCBs, solder materials, and related items.
• Monitor and follow through on deliveries to ensure material arrives on time in the factory and gets received and moved to inventory.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new local and overseas suppliers.
• Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time, and payment terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance including quality, delivery, and service level.
• Handle material shortages, delivery delays, and quality issues in coordination with suppliers
• Ensure material availability in line with production schedules and forecasts.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking and production shortages
• Ensure purchased materials comply with BOM, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Support supplier audits and compliance requirements (e.g., RoHS, REACH).
• Collaborate with QA and Engineering teams to resolve NCRs and material quality issues
• Maintain complete and accurate purchasing documentation.
• Prepare purchasing reports, cost analysis, and supplier performance evaluations.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company SOPs and policies
• Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities related to new material sourcing.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Buyer / Purchasing in PCBA or Electronics Manufacturing industry.
• Experience handling local and overseas suppliers.
• Proficient negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiar with ERP / MRP systems.
• Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Prior experience working in the purchasing department in the same industry required
• Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
• Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
• Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great team player
• Flexible to travel and work long hours, as necessary.
