Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist in Balikpapan to drive and improve learning, competency, and talent development aligned with business needs.

You will partner with HR, EHS, and department leaders to implement role-based programs, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with ISO and SMKP requirements. The role requires travel to sites as needed and expertise in Workday Learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, education, business, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years in Learning & Development, People Development, Talent Management, or competency development.
• Experience coordinating end-to-end learning programs, vendors, budgets, records, evaluation, and stakeholder communication.
• Understanding competency frameworks, learning needs analysis, IDPs, adult learning principles, and training evaluation.
• Experience with HRIS or learning management systems; Workday Learning is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, reporting, and presentation; dashboards/data visualization is an advantage.
• English proficiency suitable for professional communication with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of mining/industrial environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end learning and development cycles including planning, budgeting, delivery, and evaluation.
• Design and evaluate role-based learning solutions using 70:20:10 approaches.
• Manage learning programs for technical, sales, leadership, and product development.
• Coordinate talent management activities including succession planning and readiness assessments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety training requirements (ISO 14001/45001, SMKP).
• Administer Workday Learning and other platforms; maintain training records and dashboards.
• Provide cross-functional guidance on development policies and learning resources.
