Job summary

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions in Balikpapan seeks a Learning & Development Specialist to design and manage learning, competency, and talent development processes that build workforce capability, strengthen compliance, and support business needs.

You will partner with managers, HR, EHS, Finance, and external providers to translate requirements into practical development solutions, manage budgets, and maintain training records in Workday Learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Learning & Development or related areas.
• Experience coordinating end-to-end learning programs, vendors and budgets.
• Understanding of competency frameworks, IDPs, and training evaluation.
• Experience with HRIS/learning management systems; Workday Learning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end learning and development cycle including planning, budgeting, delivery and evaluation.
• Partner with department heads to identify competency requirements and gaps.
• Design and coordinate role-based learning solutions using the 70:20:10 approach.
• Manage learning programs for technical, sales, leadership and product development.
• Coordinate talent management activities and succession planning support.
• Oversee regulatory and EHS-related learning requirements and audits.
