Qualifications

• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP-like practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, prep methods, and presentation standards.
• Attention to allergies, dietary requirements, and cross‑contamination risks.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with daily food preparation and service.
• Complete mise en place: wash, peel, cut, weigh, portion, marinate, prep ingredients.
• Follow recipes and kitchen procedures to prepare ingredients and dishes.
• Support sauces, dressings, garnishes, salads, and menu items as needed.
• Assist with plating, portion control, and checking dishes before service.
• Maintain accurate preparation, labeling, storage, and rotation of food.
