Job summary

Pepito Culinary in Bali invites a skilled Sous Chef to join our premium hospitality team. You will assist the Head Chef, supervise cooks, and ensure top-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment that celebrates bakery, cafe, and grab-and-go concepts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of professional culinary experience, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of food cost, inventory, and waste management. Bali-based candidates are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene.
• Experience as Sous Chef or equivalent in high-volume F&B operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food production.
• Supervise kitchen staff for efficient workflow and consistent performance.
• Ensure dishes meet standards for taste, quality, presentation and portions.
• Monitor food prep, cooking processes, and proper ingredient handling.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen SOPs.
• Monitor stock, wastage, and storage procedures.
• Assist in menu prep, recipe implementation, and product quality improvement.
• Train and develop kitchen team members; support Head Chef in cost control.
• Take charge of operations in Head Chef's absence.
