About the role

PT ABISHAR TECHNOLOGIES INDONESIA is seeking a talented Backend Developer (Java Springboot) to join our growing software development team. This is a full-time position based in South Tangerang, Banten. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot framework. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive our business objectives forward. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects whilst developing your technical expertise in a dynamic technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot framework
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions
• Develop and optimise database queries and manage data persistence using relational and non-relational databases
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and consistency
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes
• Implement automated testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and API testing
• Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in backend development

What we're looking for

• Proven experience with Java programming and Spring Boot framework in production environments
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and implementation
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git
• Knowledge of software design patterns and principles including SOLID principles
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Preferred: Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Preferred: Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures
