Nusantech in Jakarta is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powered by Java Spring Boot. You will shape API design, drive quality, and contribute to system architecture as a senior member of the engineering team.

You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with product teams, and lead initiatives to improve performance, security, and reliability while upholding best practices and thorough testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development in Java.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and Hibernate.
• RESTful API design and versioning.
• Git and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
• Clean architecture, design patterns and best practices.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Unit testing with JUnit/Mockito; familiarity with monitoring tools.

As a senior member, you will play a key role in system design, code quality, and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, secure, and scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot)
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java with at least 5 years of experience in backend development
• In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem (Security, Data, MVC)
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate
• Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and API versioning
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of clean architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience on containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
