Job summary

INDICO by Telkomsel is seeking a Backend Developer to build, maintain, and scale backend services that power telecom and digital business solutions in Indonesia.

You will work on API integrations, messaging services, and system integration with Telkomsel and partners, perform QA/UAT, and troubleshoot backend issues while contributing to performance optimization and clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years experience as Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong experience in backend development and API development (ISO 8583 and JSON).
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, PHP, Python, Go, Node.js).
• Experience with REST API, web services, messaging, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications and services.
• Develop and maintain system integrations, APIs, messaging services, and backend services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and Telkomsel to implement integrated services.
• Perform QA and UAT to ensure backend functionality and integration meet requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend, API, and integration issues.
• Monitor backend performance and contribute to optimization and improvements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to backend development.

Job Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications and services supporting telecommunication and digital business solutions.
• Develop and maintain system integrations, APIs, messaging services, and backend services.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams, business partners, and Telkomsel to implement and maintain integrated services.
• Perform QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure backend functionality and system integration meet business and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend, API, and integration-related issues.
• Monitor backend application performance and contribute to system optimization and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to backend development and system integration

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong experience in backend development and API development (ISO 8583 and JSON)
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Java, PHP, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Experience with REST API, web services, messaging, and system integration.
• Good understanding of databases, including SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git/version control, debugging, testing, and API documentation.
• Experience supporting QA/UAT and troubleshooting of backend services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in telecommunications, digital services, fintech, or technology companies is a plus
