Job summary

PT. Indosat Tbk in Jakarta is seeking an experienced M2M/IoT Product Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of the product catalog, from launch to retirement.

The role requires deep market insight, technical understanding of SIM/eSIM provisioning, and strong collaboration with sales, engineering, and partners. You will analyze customers’ business needs, write technical requirements, support presales, and drive product improvements through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in M2M/IoT or related portfolio.
• Telco/IT services experience preferred.
• Experience in product and presales teams is a plus.

Job description

• Understanding the M2M/IoT market. Assessing the M2M/IoT market, both the national market and global market.
• M2M products development & innovation. Develop new products and assess the use case in the market.
• Enhance existing M2M products to increase the product's value in the market. Work closely with the SIM vendor during development and enhance M2M products.
• Product Management. Take ownership of the M2M product and deliver with good quality.
• Perform presentations and demonstrations of solutions to potential and external clients. Support sales for meetings with customers
• Analyze customers’ business and industry needs and propose products and solutions accordingly. Make a detailed and accurate analysis of business needs
• Ability to write technical requirements and understand required changes to existing documents to address customer needs. Support the M2M team and sales to write technical specifications in terms of product and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support and consulting to customers and internal teams. Collaborate with external parties, vendors, and industry partners to provide optimal solutions.
• Monitor M2M product and solution performance and make improvements according to customers’ requirements. Generate & monitor solution performance reports.
• Increase industry knowledge and new technology to improve the quality of M2M products and solutions. Competent and up-to-date industry knowledge.

• Create, implement & report budgets and cost plans for managed projects.
• P&L responsible for M2M portfolio.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of recurring service issues.
• Monitor SLA compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business management in IT/Engineering or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, and other related disciplines.

Related Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant portfolio.
• Subject matter expertise in IoT/M2M and strong telecoms technical understanding.
• Highly preferred coming from telco, IT Services, IT Consultant, and System Integrator.
• Being experienced in the Product and Presales team is a plus.

Skills

• Understanding of the M2M/IoT market: Familiarity with the current state of the SIM and eSIM market as well as an understanding of the key trends and developments in space.
• Business acumen: The ability to understand potential customers' business challenges and goals and translate those challenges into customer requirement specifications and provide the right solution to help the customer achieve their goals.
• Technical expertise: A good understanding of the technical aspects of M2M/IoT solutions, including SIM and eSIM profiles & provisioning, applet, OTA, security, remote provisioning architecture, and devices.
• Communication skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills are essential for effectively communicating the value of M2M products and solutions to potential customers.
• Solution design: Understanding of SIM and eSIM system design, integration, and deployment.
• Proposal writing: Experience in writing proposals, pricing, and responding to RFPs and RFIs.
• Project management: Understanding project management methodologies and tools
• Understanding of ROI and TCO calculations
• Familiarity with M2M/IoT solution sales cycles, pricing models, and contract negotiation.
