Job summary

Flex is seeking an Automation Engineer in Batam, Indonesia to design, implement, and maintain automation equipment for manufacturing processes. You will work on moderately complex systems, driving uptime and efficiency across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 1 year in automation, plus experience in PLC programming, robot/cobot integration, camera-based devices, and circuit design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering required.
Minimum 1 year of automation engineering experience in high tech electronics.
Mechatronics design experience including robot or cobot integration.
Experience in PLC programming and automated control.
Experience with devices that include camera recognition.
Circuit design skills for equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, engineer, and modify automation equipment and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, and maintenance plans for automated equipment.
Ensure uptime through preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure efficient automation.
Identify and drive changes to improve automation effectiveness and equipment design.
