Job summary

BYD Indonesia is seeking a Robotics Engineer to design and integrate automated welding systems using KUKA robots. You will conduct robot teaching, path simulation, and both offline and online path programming to optimize production lines.

The role requires developing robot-to-PLC interfaces and ensuring safe, compliant operations on site in West Java. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of robotics experience, strong English skills, and a Diploma in Robotic Engineering.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Robotic Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of similar working experience.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate robotic systems for KUKA spot welding, arc welding, and door cover edge welding applications.
• Perform robot teaching, path simulation, and offline/online path programming.
• Develop robot control programs, set PLC signal interactions, and design emergency stop interlocks.
• Design robot-to-PLC communication, and select appropriate robot hardware, payload and reach/accessibility.
• Coordinate signal interfacing between robots and welding machines, including equipment communication and synchronization.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and maintenance support for robotic systems.
• Follow and implement company safety, quality, and process requirements throughout all project stages.
