Job summary
Syngentagroup seeks a senior automation specialist to lead plant automation projects across AMEA seed production sites within its global engineering network. You will collaborate with regional and global peers to align standards, work with vendors on technology choices, and define scopes for capital automation.
You will support business cases for automation investments and ensure cybersecurity compliance. This role emphasizes continuous improvement of site SCADA systems and building OT knowledge
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, IE, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in maintenance, OT automation, electrical systems, or project delivery.
- Strong IT/OT understanding and power distribution knowledge.
- Ability to manage projects across countries.
- Analytical problem solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge (green belt or higher) preferred.
- Fluency in English; local language also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support plant automation projects across AMEA seed sites.
- Collaborate with regional/global engineers to align standards.
- Partner with vendors to select appropriate technology.
- Define scopes of work for capital automation initiatives.
- Support cybersecurity-compliant site control systems.
- Drive continuous improvement of SCADA reporting and data use.
