Job summary

Syngenta seeks an experienced engineer to join our AMEA seed production automation team in Surabaya. The role leads plant automation projects, supports OT/IT integration, and collaborates with global peers to raise manufacturing efficiency and quality.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a relevant field, 5+ years in maintenance or OT automation, strong project management across countries, and knowledge of SCADA and cybersecurity standards. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

University degree (BS min.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
Min. 5 years of maintenance, OT automation systems, electrical systems, and/or project delivery experience in industry.
Demonstrated understanding of IT, OT, industrial processes and power distribution systems.
Capability to manage a project (project management skills) across countries.
Lean Six Sigma knowledge (green belt or higher) or equivalent knowledge to manage/optimize processes is a plus.
Languages: Local language + English (written, spoken) is a must.

Responsibilities

Lead and support plant automation projects across AMEA seed production sites, collaborating with regional and global peers to align standards and share best practices.
Provide regional support to site LAN hardware for OT and IT networks and maintain site SCADA software and hardware.
Develop and manage site control systems compliant with Cybersecurity standards.
Drive continuous improvement of site SCADA reporting to enable data-driven decisions.
Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems in production environments.
