Job summary

Enterprise Digital Technology Services - EDTS is seeking a Data Engineer in Jakarta for a 1-year contract. You will write SQL to access and manipulate large datasets, automate data pipelines, and develop BI reports and dashboards using tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure data quality, and understand business metrics to support decision-making. A Bachelor's degree and >1 year of relevant experience are preferred, with basic cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development.
• Strong SQL knowledge across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and data warehousing.
• Basic cloud knowledge (GCP or AWS).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities and detail orientation.

• Able to perform basic (select, join, conditions, etc.)

Person we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and data warehousing
• Basic knowledge of cloud services such as Google Cloud or AWS
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Basic understanding of big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop)
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail in working with large and complex datasets
• Team collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with data analysts, engineers, and business teams
• Good communication and documentation practices
