Job summary

Enterprise Digital Technology Services - EDTS is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines and data models for BI and analytics in a cloud environment.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure smooth data flows, implement data quality, and uphold governance and security standards. This role is based in Jakarta and requires hands-on experience with modern data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Min. 3 years of experience in data/Software engineering
• Strong SQL and Python
• Experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka, DBT, etc.
• Hands-on cloud experience (GCP BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Azure Synapse)
• Solid data modeling, ETL/ELT, and warehousing concepts
• CI/CD and DevOps for data systems
• Strong problem-solving & communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines with Airflow, Python, SQL
• Develop and optimize data architecture and models for BI/analytics
• Collaborate with users, data scientists, analysts, and engineers to define data needs
• Implement data quality checks, logging, monitoring, and alerts
• Manage cloud-based data infra (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Ensure governance, security, and compliance for data assets
• Mentor junior data engineers and share knowledge
• Stay updated with big data trends and technologies

What you will do

• Implement data quality checks, logging, monitoring, and alerting for pipeline health
• Manage and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure)

• Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in big data and analytics

Person we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Min. 3 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with modern data tools and frameworks: Spark, Airflow, Kafka, DBT, etc
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Azure Synapse)
• Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehousing concepts
• Has experience in migration datawarehouse from onpremise to cloud is a plus
• Solid grasp of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Certified Data Engineer Professional at any cloud is a plus
