Job summary

Enterprise Digital Technology Services - EDTS is seeking a Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines, write SQL queries, and support BI initiatives. The role focuses on data quality, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in Jakarta.

The ideal candidate brings 1 year of Data Engineer experience, solid SQL skills, exposure to cloud platforms, and familiarity with BI tools. This position is onsite at Wisma 46, Jakarta Pusat, with a 1-year contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 year minimum experience as Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development.
• Strong SQL and relational DB skills (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server).
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and data warehousing.
• Basic knowledge of cloud services such as Google Cloud or AWS.
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Basic understanding of big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail with large datasets.
• Team collaboration with data analysts, engineers, and business teams.
• Strong communication and documentation practices.
• Contract duration: 1 year

Responsibilities

What you will do

• Create SQL queries to deliver ad-hoc BI requirement
• Contribute to automation, performance tuning, and optimization of data systems
• Write and optimize SQL queries to access and manipulate large datasets
• Create various forms of actionable BI mechanism (interactive reports, dashboard, alerts, scheduled email report, etc.) using any available BI tools (e.g. Spreadsheets, Looker BI, etc.)
• Understand customer business flow
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot data issues
• Aware of important customer business metrics
• Able to perform basic (select, join, conditions, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity

Person we are looking for:
