Job summary

Atomic Recruitment SEA is partnering with a well‑established industrial company to recruit an Assistant Warehouse Manager based in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The role oversees day‑to‑day warehouse operations, inventory control and material movements, leading a warehouse team across multiple functions.

You will collaborate with Logistics, Procurement, Production and Project teams to ensure materials are accurately controlled and available for a large scale operation, while maintaining safety,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in warehouse, inventory, or material management.
• Experience supervising warehouse teams.
• Experience in industrial, mining, metals, construction, or project environments preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS and inventory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, issuing, loading and dispatch of materials.
• Ensure safe, efficient use of space, manpower and equipment while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.
• Manage material receiving/issuing with proper verification and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock movements and conduct cycle counts.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate with Finance for reconciliation.
• Ensure timely warehouse transactions and ERP system updates.
• Lead and supervise warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, operators and workers; allocate manpower and assess performance.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Procurement, Production, Project/Construction and Finance to ensure timely material movement.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, HSE, internal controls and regulations.
• Monitor and report inventory losses, damages, irregularities, excess, obsolete materials.

Job description

Our client is a well-established industrial company in Southeast Asia, specializing in large-scale raw material processing for global supply chains and is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to be based in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. You’ll oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, inventory control and material movements, lead a warehouse team, and work closely with Logistics, Procurement, Production and Project teams to ensure materials are accurately controlled and available to support a large-scale operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, issuing, loading and dispatch of materials.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of warehouse space, manpower and equipment while maintaining safety, security and housekeeping standards.
• Manage material receiving and issuing, ensuring quantities, conditions and supporting documents are properly verified and recorded.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock movements and conduct regular cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate with Inventory Data Management and Finance for reconciliation.
• Ensure timely and accurate warehouse transactions, documentation and ERP system updates.
• Lead and supervise warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, operators and workers, including manpower allocation, performance monitoring and training.
• Coordinate closely with Logistics, Procurement, Production, Project/Construction and Finance teams to ensure timely material movement and availability.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, HSE requirements, internal controls and applicable regulations.
• Monitor and report inventory losses, damages, irregularities, excess, obsolete and scrap materials.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory or material management, with experience supervising warehouse teams.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, metals, construction or project environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, material receiving/issuing and documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems and inventory transaction management.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety, HSE requirements and internal controls.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred.
