Job summary

25hours Hotel Jakarta The Oddbird is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring top-notch food and beverage service for guests in a vibrant, culture-forward hotel in Sudirman Central Business District, Jakarta.

You will lead a team, manage schedules, and train staff while maintaining brand standards and cost controls. Fluency in English and strong hospitality experience are required, with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Service oriented with an eye for details.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
• Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement 25hours brand promise, brand pillars, brand characters, and brand icons.
• Analyze and submit month-end reports identifying deviations from business plan goals.
• Implement and maintain control measures to ensure food & beverage costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs remain in line with budget.
• Conduct daily departmental briefings to ensure all pertinent information is communicated to team members.
• Supervise team members to ensure all assigned tasks are completed on time and to departmental standards.
• Build strong relationships with guests and regular patrons, providing personalized service.
• Handle guest complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently.
• Manage cashier and bar operations in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor equipment supply and stock levels to prevent operational shortages.
• Ensure outlet and back-of-house cleanliness complies with food & beverage sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services, contents, preparation methods and hotel features.
• Ensure health, safety and security procedures are in place and followed.
• Perform proper handover and communication to the next shift.
• Interview, select and recruit outlet employees.
• Identify and develop team members with potential for advancement.
• Conduct performance reviews and monitor team members' professionalism and appearance.
• Develop and conduct staff training programs focused on skill development and business needs.
• Prepare weekly staff schedules based on anticipated business volume and operating budgets.
