Job summary

PT Sea Group is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager, Regional Tax (Group Tax) to join our HQ Finance team. You will lead direct and indirect tax matters across multiple regional jurisdictions, ensure timely tax compliance and reporting, and drive governance on transfer pricing and tax initiatives for Sea's three core businesses.

You will collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders, manage audits, and contribute to ad-hoc tax projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline; professional qualification is a plus.
• CPA/CA or advanced taxation qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm or MN C.
• Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulations.
• Experience handling cross-border taxes and transfer pricing preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to manage projects independently.

Assistant Manager/Manager, Regional Tax (Group Tax)

You will be part of Sea’s HQ Finance department, which plays an integral role in supporting the accounting and finance needs of our three core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) and across our diverse regional market presence. Within the department, the Tax function is responsible for the Group’s tax compliance and risk, including preparing tax returns, conducting tax audits, and developing transfer pricing policies to ensure effective tax governance and planning. You will be supporting the tax compliance, advisory, and governance matters for Group business across multiple jurisdictions.

• Responsible for the group’s direct tax and indirect tax matters
• Responsible for tax compliance and tax reporting of the group, including review or preparing tax returns, where appropriate
• Assist with research and implementation of various tax initiatives which includes working closely with stakeholders to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure that tax needs are identified, considered and communicated
• Manage tax audits with close collaboration with finance teams
• Participate in ad-hoc projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/related discipline or other related professional qualification in accounting, such as Chartered Accountant and ACCA
• CPA / CA or advanced taxation qualification is preferred
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience preferably in a tax function in a Big 4 firm and/or relevant tax experience in a MNC
• Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulation
• Experience in handling cross-border taxes and transfer pricing is preferred
