Job summary

Godrej Indonesia is seeking an experienced Assistant Legal Manager to oversee litigation, contract management and IP protection. You will advise on business matters, ensure compliance, and collaborate across functions to mitigate legal risks in operations and projects.

The role requires a strong background in IP law and FMCG, fluent English, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Team leadership is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• 8+ years of work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law is mandatory.
• Understanding of Litigation in FMCG.
• Strong IP knowledge and regulations.
• Knowledge of commercial, civil, property, consumer and labour laws.
• Team leadership experience is a plus.
• Good drafting, analytical and communication skills.

Job Description:

• Manage litigation, contract management, Intellectual Property rights, business advisory, and compliance
• Responsible for managing and protecting an organization's IP assets, including patents, trademarks, brands
• Collaborate with various functions to ensure legal risks are identified and mitigated in business operations, events and projects.
• Stay up to date with legal developments in consumer goods and manufacturing industry and advise the company on any changes or potential impacts.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English (both written & verbal) is a must
• Has a minimum total of 8 years of experience
• Has a minimum bachelor’s degree of Law (mandatory)
• Understand of Litigation process in FMCG
• Has strong background in Intellectual Property laws and regulations
• Should have knowledge of commercial, civil, property, consumer and labour laws
• Experience of managing a team will be an advantage
• Good analytical and drafting skills, commercial acumen and strong desire to learn, team player, good written and spoken communication skills, as this position will require interaction with internal and external stakeholders
