Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd in Indonesia is seeking an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to work with Headquarters Legal Division and APAC Legal team on regional regulatory affairs including telecom licences, renewals, filings and other compliance matters.

The role requires drafting, negotiating, reviewing contracts, providing practical legal solutions to internal stakeholders, conducting legal research, and liaising with external counsels on ad-hoc projects in a multinational context.

Qualifications

• Degree in Laws (Common Law or Civil Law).
• Qualified lawyer would be advantageous.
• Minimum 6 years post-graduate experience; at least 4 years in-house or law firm.
• Experience in multinational/multicultural environment; Chinese company experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with Headquarters Legal Division and APAC Legal team on regional regulatory affairs (licence applications, renewals, filings, inquiries).
• Provide practical legal solutions to internal stakeholders and advise on cross border transactions.
• Support legal affairs and contract management including drafting, negotiation, review and approvals.
• Provide internal training and raise legal awareness for day-to-day operations.
• Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory changes in Asia-Pacific region.
• Liaise with external counsels and assist in ad-hoc projects.

• Support legal affairs and contract management including contract drafting, negotiation, review and approvals etc.
• Provide internal training and prepare write-up to raise legal awareness and ensure compliance on day-to-day business operations
• Conduct legal research on the matter as required and regularly monitor and research on changes in local laws and regulations in the Asia-Pacific Region
• Liaise with external counsels and assist in handling ad-hoc projects

Job Requirements

• Degree in Laws (either Common Law or Civil Law)
• Qualified lawyer would be advantageous
• A minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience with at least 4 years relevant in-house (e.g. telecommunications or technology sector) or law firm experience
• Working experience in a multinational and multicultural business environment is preferred, experience in Chinese company will be a plus.
