Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a visionary Freshwater Strategy Director for Asia Pacific to shape and support freshwater conservation across the region. You will work with country programs, regional teams, and global colleagues to design strategies for nature-based water provisioning and durable freshwater protection, aligning with TNC’s 2030 goals.

Lead collaborations with partners, secure funding, and advance science-driven conservation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including finances and coordinating work of others.
• Experience developing freshwater conservation recommendations supported by science.
• Experience in partnership development with non-profits, community groups or government agencies.
• BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and support implementation of freshwater conservation strategies in Asia Pacific.
• Collaborate with regional teams and global programmes to scale conservation efforts.
• Improve outcomes through capacity building and refining theories of change.
• Negotiate solutions with diverse stakeholders, including communities and government agencies.
• Represent freshwater conservation in portfolio management with robust monitoring and learning.
