Job summary

BukuWarung is seeking an experienced AI & DevX focused engineering leader to drive the internal platform, improve developer experience, and scale AI enablement across product squads. You will prototype, build, review, and mentor while keeping execution fast and safe in a fast-moving fintech environment.

This role emphasizes cross-squad impact, architecture influence, and hands-on problem solving to raise engineering productivity and platform standards at BukuWarung.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with backend or platform focus.
• Proven track record improving developer experience and internal tooling in fast-moving environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with modern AI tooling and agentic development.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI & DevX roadmap across the engineering organization.
• Build internal engineering leverage through better CI/CD, local development workflows, tooling, templates, and self-serve platform capabilities.
• Identify high-value AI opportunities to improve engineering throughput and quality (code assistance, test generation, debugging, documentation).
• Create practical, safe patterns for AI usage, including guardrails, observability, security, and rollout.
• Improve the developer journey from idea to production: setup time, build/test speed, release confidence, deployment ergonomics, feedback loops.
• Partner with engineering leaders to remove friction across squads and standardize where appropriate.
• Drive engineering productivity via lead time, deployment reliability, change failure rate, and onboarding improvements.
• Raise the bar on technical quality by guiding architecture, tooling choices, and platform standards.
• Act as a senior hands-on engineer to prototype, build, review, unblock, and dive into tough problems.
• Coach engineers and leaders on AI, platform capabilities, and scalable engineering practices.
