Job summary

Travelio is seeking an AI enthusiast to design, build, and deploy AI-powered features across our products and operations. You will work on integrating LLMs, building data solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into real-world solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on AI development, prompt engineering, and production-grade data pipelines. Remote-friendly? We expect on-site work at Jakarta or nearby, with strong collaboration across engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software/data engineering experience.
• Hands-on AI or LLM-powered solution experience.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering concepts.
• Experience with Git and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

What You'll Do

You'll be part of our AI Development team, building and integrating AI-powered features, workflows, and data solutions across the business.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain AI-powered features that solve real business problems.

Design, test, and optimize prompts to improve AI performance and reliability.

Integrate LLMs and AI services into our products using Python, FastAPI, and modern backend technologies.

Connect AI solutions with databases and internal systems, including MySQL, MongoDB, and ClickHouse.

Develop evaluation frameworks, accuracy benchmarks, and monitoring tools to ensure AI outputs are production-ready.

Build and maintain data pipelines that power AI features and business insights.

Identify data quality issues, anomalies, and hidden risks before they impact products or reporting.

Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to bring AI ideas to life.

Write clean, maintainable code and documentation that others can easily build upon.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related fields.

Hands-on experience implementing AI or LLM-powered solutions.

Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations.

Experience working with relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into practical solutions.

Understanding of prompt engineering concepts, including: Structured prompting, Few-shot prompting, JSON outputs, Interative prompt optimization

Experience using Git, participating in code reviews, and maintaining clear documentation.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.

Experience building and shipping AI products to production.

Familiarity with ClickHouse, Dagster, dbt, Docker, Next.js, or TypeScript.

Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, and monitoring frameworks.

Knowledge of travel, hospitality, marketplace, or property technology businesses.

Willing to full Work From Office (WFO) at Haji Nawi, South Jakarta.
