Job summary

Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) in Indonesia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage client accounts, prepare financial reports, and ensure accurate full-set accounting and tax compliance.

You will work independently and as part of a team, communicate with clients directly, and mentor junior staff while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or audit.
• Experience in handling full sets of accounts.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and responsible.
• Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with Xero Accounting Software will be an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken, will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and financial statements in a timely and accurate manner.
• Handle and manage full sets of accounts for clients.
• Prepare and review accounting schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Handle tax filings, tax computations, and other tax compliance matters.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax requirements.
• Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, clarify accounting matters, and address queries.
• Manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.
• Review work prepared by junior associates and provide guidance where required.
• Support and mentor junior team members in accounting and tax-related matters.
• Assist with other accounting, tax, and finance-related assignments as required.
