Job summary

YSQ International Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage and oversee financial accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of information. You will handle audits, journal entries, full-set bookkeeping, and reconciliations to support business growth.

Key responsibilities include monthly balance schedules, tax withholdings reconciliation, month-end close, and collaboration with SCM, Planner, and audit teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Background in manufacturing preferred.
• Brevet Tax A & B certification preferred.
• GST withholding tax experience advantageous.
• ERP system experience (SAP/Navision) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance schedule reports and related reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Handle monthly journal entries for accruals, amortization, prepayments, and other accruals.
• Review open PO/GRN and open SO/invoiced reports with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Support external audits with documentation and internal control reviews.
• Prepare and review financial statements for statutory audit purposes.

Job description

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. You will be responsible for handling audits, preparing journal entries, maintaining full-set bookkeeping, and performing reconciliations to ensure financial integrity and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance schedule report
• Monthly equalization withholding tax and reconciliation report
• Follow up, check and close all outstanding issues in balance sheet
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries for accruals, amortization, prepayments, and other accruals, ensuring timely and accurate financial recording
• Prepare and review open PO and GRN not invoiced reports and collaborate with SCM teams for advice and resolution
• Prepare and review open SO and shipment not invoiced reports, and work with Planner teams for advice and follow-upResponsible for all accounting functions on daily basis as well as month-end closing, reviewing and ensuring accuracy of entries, transaction posting and financial reporting
• Ensure month end closing based on scheduling and financial reports are prepared and delivered on time
• Support interims and external annual audit activities, working with internal and external auditors in providing documentation and review of procedures and internal controls
• Prepare Financial Statements for overseas and local entity for statutory audit purposes, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and timely submission to auditors

About you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Background in manufacturing preferred
• Brevet Tax A & B certification preferred
• Strong taxation skills, especially in withholding tax and GST
• Prior experience handling GST reporting/compliance is an advantage
• Strong in accounting and internal control
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Navision or others)
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
