Job summary

OpenDigital Limited is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant who can handle preparation of accounts, tax computations, and advisory support for a range of entrepreneurial and owner-managed clients.

You will collaborate with a friendly, ambitious team in Kendal, with study mentorship and a competitive salary package to support your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA with ongoing studies.
• Hands-on experience preparing accounts across multiple client sectors.
• Comfortable using Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• Strong communicator with a client-focused approach.
• Able to manage time, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a diverse portfolio of clients and support growth.
• Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for various entities.
• Manage self-assessment tax returns and provide guidance.
• Advise on capital taxes including inheritance and capital gains.
• Maintain accurate records and support reporting.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and meet deadlines.
• Liaise with HMRC to resolve queries and ensure smooth communication.
• Assist with business start-up support and related admin services.
• Mentor and support junior team members as you progress.

What You’ll Be Doing
