Job summary

Adecco Portugal, assisting a leading international energy and digital infrastructure group, invites applications for an Accounts Payable Officer to join the Indonesia Finance Team in Batam. The role handles supplier invoices, payment processing, vendor records and reconciliations to maintain accurate books.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, use MYOB and Excel, and communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia, supporting month-end close and internal audits while seeking process

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or related finance role.
• Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes with accurate documentation.
• Verify POs, vendor details, tax information, payment terms and account coding.
• Prepare and monitor payments through bank portal to ensure timely execution.
• Maintain vendor master data and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Record invoices, payments, and journal entries in MYOB and ensure audit-ready records.
• Support month-end closing and accounts payable reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and approval workflows.

We are assisting a leading international energy and digital infrastructure group in hiring an Accounts Payable Officer to join its Indonesia Finance Team in Batam.

The company develops and operates digital infrastructure, including data centres, submarine cable systems, and fibre connectivity networks, supporting the growing demand for cloud computing and AI across international markets.

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Officer will report to the Senior Accountant and be responsible for managing supplier invoices, payment processing, vendor records, and accounts payable reconciliations. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely payments, and compliance with internal controls and approval procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting documentation.
• Verify purchase orders, vendor details, tax information, payment terms, account coding, and approvals.
• Prepare payment transactions through the bank portal and monitor payment status to ensure timely execution.
• Maintain vendor master data and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and monitor outstanding invoices and accounts payable ageing.
• Record invoices, payments, credit notes, and journal entries accurately in MYOB.
• Maintain organised financial records, payment evidence, and audit documentation.
• Support month-end closing, accounts payable accruals, reconciliations, and internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, payment controls, and approval workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and procedures.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, accounting, financial control, or a related finance role.
• Experience using accounting software, preferably MYOB or similar online accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, payment procedures, and account reconciliations.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is an advantage but not mandatory.
