Job summary

Novelship is seeking an Account Executive to work with Senior Account Executives on regional accounting operations across our Asian offices. You will be detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment, handling a high volume of tasks and enquiries while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This role supports month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR/GL, intercompany transactions, and inventory monitoring.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; Mandarin a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools and openness to using AI to improve efficiency.
• Self-motivated, organised, proactive with ability to manage priorities.
• Familiarity with the Xero accounting system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.
• Support the preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements for Novelship's group entities across Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
• Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations.
• Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with inventory monitoring and stocktakes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support intercompany transactions and other accounting activities.

We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment. You should be comfortable handling a high volume of tasks and enquiries, following through on details, and communicating effectively with different teams. As we work remotely across regions, keeping everyone updated and working collaboratively is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.
• Support the preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements for Novelship's group entities across Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
• Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and account reconciliations.
• Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with inventory monitoring and stocktakes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support intercompany transactions and other accounting activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification. Fresh graduates and final-year students are welcome to apply.
• Good command of written and spoken English. Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus.
