Job summary

PT Sea Group’s HQ Finance department supports accounting and finance needs of Garena, Shopee and Monee, across regional markets. You will work with stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting while adhering to tax and audit regulations.

Responsibilities include monthly closings, reconciliations, AR/revenue processing, and preparation of management reports. A Finance/Accounting degree and professional qualifications are preferred; Big 4 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related professional qualification required.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience would be a plus.
• Solid accounting knowledge and familiarity with local tax and audit regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal controls and ensure tax compliance.
• Reconcile discrepancies between systems and records; resolve differences.
• Execute monthly closing: AR and revenue functions.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reporting and cashflow forecasts.
• Prepare accounting schedules and GST returns.
• Support audits and financial statement preparation.
• Perform other related ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

You will be part of Sea’s HQ Finance department, which plays an integral role in supporting the accounting and finance needs of our three core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) and across our diverse regional market presence. Within the department, the Finance and Accounting Operations function manages record-keeping, account management (payables and receivables), and comprehensive financial reporting for all operating entities and business segments, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial reporting, while adhering to local tax and audit regulations.

• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls, accounting standards, and tax requirements
• Reconcile discrepancies between system and finance records, and proactively identify and resolve differences
• Perform monthly closing activities, including accounts receivable and revenue functions
• Prepare monthly financial and management reporting packages and perform monthly cashflow forecasts
• Prepare and provide accounting schedules and GST returns
• Support audits and the preparation of financial statements
• Perform other related ad hoc duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting/ related discipline or other related professional qualification in accounting, such as Chartered Accountant and ACCA
• Big 4 accounting firm experience would be a plus
• Solid accounting knowledge and familiarity with local tax and audit regulations
