Job summary

MAJA FAMILY seeks an experienced Head of Accounting and Tax to lead the team in Bandung, Indonesia. You will oversee daily accounting activities, ensure tax compliance, and deliver accurate financial reporting on schedule.

Responsibilities include managing month-end and year-end close, coordinating with auditors and tax consultants, developing budgets and cash forecasts, and providing management with insightful financial analysis.

• Lead and supervise the Accounting and Tax team.
• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation, calculation, and submission of corporate tax returns.
• Monitor compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and identify tax risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and authorities.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Analyze financial performance, variances, and key indicators, and provide insights to management.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and the company’s financial position.
• Establish and maintain effective accounting and tax policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records and tax documents.
• Review and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Provide financial and tax analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and tax regulations and assess their impact.
• Perform other accounting, tax, and financial management duties as assigned.

Job description

Lead and supervise the Accounting and Tax team, ensuring daily accounting and tax activities are performed accurately and efficiently.

Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards.

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliation, accruals, adjustments, and financial reporting.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation, calculation, and submission of corporate tax returns and other tax obligations.

Monitor compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and identify potential tax risks and opportunities.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and relevant authorities when required.

Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support business planning and decision-making.

Analyze financial performance, variances, and key financial indicators, and provide insights and recommendations to management.

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and the company’s overall financial position.

Establish and maintain effective accounting and tax policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records, tax documents, and supporting schedules.

Review and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Provide financial and tax analysis to support management in strategic and operational decision-making.

Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant financial requirements, and assess their impact on the business.

Perform other accounting, tax, and financial management duties as assigned by management.
