Job summary

Flawless Diamonds is seeking an Accounting Staff to support production costing for our lab-grown jewelry operations in Indonesia. You will record raw material movements, allocate costs by BOM, direct labor, and overhead, and analyze variances for accurate costing.

Candidates should have 1–2 years in cost accounting in manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and ERP familiarity (Odoo preferred). You will collaborate with Production, Operations, Warehouse and Finance to ensure precise cost records and

• Minimum 1–2 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables).
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills with financial data.
• Understanding of manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, and COGS calculations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; Odoo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and monitor raw material inventory and allocate production costs based on BOM, direct labor, and overhead.
• Reconcile cost data across internal processes and external workshop partners for accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze COGS for finished jewelry products including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Record accounting journal entries for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods in ERP.
• Produce cost reports and variance analyses for management and decision-making.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance to ensure timely cost data and reporting.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Job Description

Recording of Raw Materials & Allocation of Production Costs:

Record and monitor the movement of raw material inventory, including gold, lab-grown diamonds, and other supporting components, while calculating and maintaining product costs based on the Bill of Materials (BOM), direct labor, and manufacturing overhead, and analyzing production costs to ensure accurate product costing, effective cost control, and operational efficiency.

Dual Production Control:

Reconcile and monitor production and costing data from both internal production processes and external workshop partners to ensure data accuracy, consistency inventory records, and financial report.

Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Preparation:

Prepare, calculate, and analyze the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for each finished jewelry product by incorporating material, labor, and manufacturing overhead costs to ensure accurate costing and margin analysis.

Accounting Journal Entries:

Prepare and record accounting journal entries in the ERP system for raw material transactions, Work in Progress (WIP), and finished goods to ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial records.

Cost Reporting:

Prepare and present periodic production cost reports and cost variance analysis to management, providing actionable insights to support financial planning, cost control, and business decision-making.

Cross functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with the Production and Operations teams to collect accurate and timely cost data for product costing and financial reporting.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate documentation of cost-related transactions and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

Handle ad hoc tasks and accounting-related projects as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cost Accountant or in a Cost Accounting role within the manufacturing, jewelry, handicraft, or related industry.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including functions such as VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and other data analysis tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail in handling financial data and complex cost structures.

Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, production accounting journal entries, inventory valuation, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations.

Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Odoo is highly preferred).

High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Production, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
