Job summary

Gentem Indonesia Lifelong Learning is seeking an Accountant in Jakarta for record-to-report duties and ensuring accurate financial data. You will manage journal entries, month-end closings, tax alignment, and ERP-based workflows.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2+ years of experience, and Brevet A & B certification, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Expect collaboration with internal teams and adherence to compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a reputable university.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
• Brevet A & B certification is required.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of taxation, particularly PPh 23, PPh 4(2), and PPh 21.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Experience with SAP is preferred; Odoo experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in a public accounting firm, accounting services, retail, services, or education industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage record-to-report activities, including journal entries, month-end closing, and financial reporting.

• Monitor and ensure proper accounting treatment for Balance Sheet accounts, including fixed assets, prepayments, advance payments, and other related accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliation and support AR/AP processes.
• Handle payment gateway and MDR reconciliation.
• Support tax compliance by ensuring accounting records and tax treatments are properly aligned with tax filings, particularly withholding tax.
• Perform reconciliation between accounting records/GL and tax reports.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain proper supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate financial data.
